Climate
The annual temperature in the decidous forest is about 50 degrees fareinheit. In the summer the climate is hot and humid with a temperature of about 70 degrees fareinheit. The summer monthes begin in early June and ends in late August. Winters are fairly cool with temperature below freezing. Winter monthes begin in December. Fall is cool and breezy. Spring is warm and breezy. The decidudous forset has an average rainfall of 30 to 60 inches a year. Oceans and winds are the two biggest factors of the temperature and climate change.
Animal
There are many types of plants and animals in the deciduous forest. Majority of the animals that live there are herbivores, the forest has a wide variety of birds, reptiles, mammals, and insects. Some common animals in the deciduous forest are deer, raccoon, snakes, frogs, and insects. Animals that live in the deciduous forest must be able to adapt to all of the changes of the forest. The deciduous trees dominate the forest, it also has a wide variety of shrubsand bushes. Most of the trees there are broad leaf trees like; oaks, maple, beech, hickory, and chestnut. the forest has three levels of plant growth;
- Forest floor, which contains lichen, mosses and wildflowers.
- Middle forest, containing shrubs
- Top forest, including Maple, Oak, and Beech trees.
Biodiversity
A deciduous forest is a good example of biodiversity, it has large varieties of plants and animals. These plants and animals adapt to their environment to survive. The Deciduous forest has a lot of sustainability.
